Perfect upgrade for abrasive filaments
Switched to this hardened steel hotend specifically for printing carbon fiber nylon. It handles the abrasion perfectly without wearing down like the brass nozzle did. Installation was straightforward following the official guide.
Q: Can I use this with 0.2mm or 0.6mm nozzles?
A: This assembly comes with a standard 0.4mm hardened steel nozzle. While the heater block supports swapping, we recommend using only Bambu Lab certified hardened nozzles in compatible sizes to ensure proper thermal performance.
Q: Do I need to recalibrate the printer after installation?
A: It is highly recommended to run the flow rate calibration and vibration calibration (Acoustic Resonance) in the printer settings after replacing the hotend to ensure optimal print quality.
Q: What is the difference between this and the stock hotend?
A: The primary difference is the nozzle material. The stock version uses brass, which is great for standard filaments but wears quickly with abrasive materials. This upgrade uses hardened steel, making it durable for carbon fiber, glass fiber, and metal-filled filaments.
Q: Is this compatible with the original Bambu Lab X1 non-Carbon version?
