Solid performance

Prints cleanly with minimal stringing. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is the price point, which is a bit higher than standard PLA, but the convenience and quality justify it.

Great quality, slight variation

Overall excellent filament. The colors are vibrant and print quality is top-notch. There was a very short section where the gradient shifted slightly faster than expected, but it didn't ruin the print.

Perfect for high-speed printing

Easy to use and reliable

Stunning color transitions

Best gradient filament I've tried

I have tried other brands of gradient PLA, but this one has the most aesthetic soft transition. It adds a unique touch to functional parts and decorative items alike.

Q: Is this filament compatible with non-Bambu Lab printers?

A: Yes, since it is standard 1.75mm PLA, it works with most FDM printers. However, the RFID smart parameter feature will only function with compatible Bambu Lab printers.

Q: How long is the gradient transition period?

A: The gradient transitions smoothly over the length of the spool. The exact distance for a full cycle depends on the specific color combination, but it is designed to provide consistent variation across multiple prints.

Q: Can I print detailed miniatures with this?

A: Absolutely. PLA Basic is known for its ease of printing and good detail resolution. The gradient effect looks particularly impressive on textured miniatures and figurines.

Q: What happens if the RFID tag gets damaged?

A: If the RFID tag is unreadable, you can still use the filament by manually selecting 'PLA Basic' in the printer settings or Bambu Studio software. You just won't get the automatic parameter loading.

Q: Do I need to dry this filament before printing?

A: The filament comes vacuum-sealed with desiccant. If the package is intact, you can print immediately. If it has been exposed to humidity for an extended period, drying at 45°C for 4-6 hours is recommended.
