Great upgrade, minor calibration needed
The hardened steel nozzle handles abrasive materials beautifully. I had to re-run the flow rate calibration after swapping, but once done, prints are flawless.

Durable and reliable
I've printed over 2kg of wood-filled filament since installing this hotend, and the nozzle still looks brand new. Highly recommended for durability.

Seamless replacement
Replaced my stock hotend in under 15 minutes. The printer recognized the new part immediately, and the first test print came out perfect.

Solid performance
Works exactly as advertised. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that the price is a bit steep, but the quality justifies the cost.

Essential for serious printing
If you plan on printing anything other than standard PLA or PETG, this kit is a must-have. The high-flow design really speeds up production time too.
Q: Can I use this nozzle with regular PLA, or is it only for abrasive filaments?
A: You can absolutely use regular PLA, PETG, and other non-abrasive filaments. While optimized for abrasive materials, it works perfectly with all standard filaments.
Q: What is the expected lifespan of the hardened steel nozzle compared to brass?
A: The hardened steel nozzle typically lasts 5 to 10 times longer than brass nozzles when printing abrasive filaments like carbon fiber or glass fiber.
Q: Do I need to update the firmware after installing this?
A: Firmware updates are not strictly required for basic functionality, but we recommend ensuring your printer is on the latest firmware for optimal calibration features.
Q: Does the kit include the heating element and thermistor?
A: Yes, the kit includes the complete hotend assembly with the heating element, thermistor, and the hardened steel nozzle pre-installed.
Q: Is this compatible with the original Bambu Lab A1 as well as the mini?
A: Yes, this Hardened Steel Nozzle Hotend Kit is fully compatible with both the Bambu Lab A1 and the A1 mini models.
