Great value upgrade

For the price, this is an excellent upgrade. The heating element warms up quickly and maintains temperature very consistently. I've printed both standard PLA and some tricky TPU without any clogs.

Works but instructions were vague

The part itself works fine now that it is installed, but the included instructions were a bit confusing regarding the wiring orientation. I had to watch a YouTube video to be sure I didn't short anything. Once running, print quality is good.

Perfect for abrasive filaments

I switched to this kit specifically to print with bamboo-filled PLA. The hardened steel nozzle handles the abrasive material without wearing down like brass nozzles do. Installation was straightforward and prints are coming out great.

Good upgrade, runs hot

The build quality is solid and it fits my Kobra 2 perfectly. It does seem to run slightly hotter than the stock hotend, so I had to tweak my temperature settings down by about 5 degrees. Otherwise, very happy with the purchase.

Solid performance

Replaced my failing stock hotend with this one. It feels more robust and the silicone sock fits snugly. Deducting one star only because the shipping took longer than expected, but the product itself is fantastic.

Essential for wood filaments

If you plan on printing anything with wood or carbon fiber, get this immediately. My old nozzle was ruined after one spool. This hardened steel version has been running for weeks with zero issues.

Q: Is this compatible with the original Anycubic Kobra (non-Neo)?

A: This specific S1C kit is designed for the Kobra 2 and Kobra 2 Neo series. The original Kobra uses a different hotend assembly, so please check your printer model before ordering.

Q: How difficult is the installation for a beginner?

A: Installation requires basic tools and careful handling of wires. If you have ever replaced a nozzle or cleaned your extruder, you should be able to install this in about 20-30 minutes by following our online guide.

Q: Can I use a 0.6mm nozzle with this hotend block?

A: Yes, the hotend block accepts standard MK8 style threaded nozzles. You can swap the included 0.4mm hardened steel nozzle for a 0.6mm hardened steel nozzle if needed.

Q: What is the maximum safe temperature for continuous printing?

A: While the component can reach up to 300°C, we recommend continuous printing at temperatures below 280°C to ensure the longevity of the PTFE tube interface and electrical connections.

Q: Does this come with a new heatsink fan?

A: No, this kit includes the heater block, throat, heater cartridge, thermistor, and nozzle. It does not include the cooling fans; you should reuse the fans from your existing hotend assembly.
