Studio Quality

Worth every penny
I have played on many Otto Links over the years, and this retro edition captures the essence of the old New York pieces without the exorbitant collector price. Highly recommended.

Perfect for Ballads
If you play ballads or traditional jazz, this is the one. The resistance is perfect for controlling dynamics. The commemorative edition packaging was also very impressive.

Great tone, needs some break-in
Excellent craftsmanship and the tone is very warm and dark. It took about a week of playing to fully open up the sound, but now it sings. Slightly harder to blow than modern metal pieces.

Good but challenging for beginners
The sound is amazing when you hit it right, but it requires a very developed embouchure. As a student, I find it a bit too resistant compared to my plastic student mouthpiece.

This mouthpiece delivers that authentic vintage tenor sound instantly. The rubber feels high quality and the slanted logo is a nice touch of history. It responds beautifully in the lower register.
Q: Can I use this on a C melody saxophone?
A: No, this mouthpiece is designed specifically for Tenor Saxophones. The shank diameter will not fit a C Melody sax correctly.

A: Yes, this Commemorative Edition includes a matching hard rubber cap and a gold-plated metal ligature.
Q: How should I clean the hard rubber to prevent discoloration?
A: We recommend using lukewarm water and mild soap. Avoid direct sunlight and extreme heat, as these can cause hard rubber to oxidize and turn brown over time.
Q: Is the rubber hand-finished or machine molded?
A: While the base is precision molded, each mouthpiece undergoes a hand-finishing process to ensure the facing curve meets our strict vintage specifications.
