Good for traditional styles
These work beautifully with traditional Chinese ink sticks. The only reason for 4 stars is that they require a bit more care when cleaning compared to synthetics, but that is expected with natural hair.

Great value for beginners
As someone new to Gongbi painting, these brushes are forgiving yet precise. They arrived well-packaged. One brush had a slightly loose ferrule, but overall a solid set for the price.

Perfect for fine details

Smooth lines every time

A: After washing and reshaping the tip while damp, it is best to lay them flat to dry or hang them with the tip facing down. Once dry, store them in a protective case or roll to prevent the fine tips from bending.
Q: Can these be used with acrylic paints?
A: While primarily designed for water-based inks and watercolors, they can be used with fluid acrylics. However, you must clean them immediately and thoroughly to prevent the paint from drying in the natural bristles.

A: The brushes come with a protective sizing glue. You simply need to soak the tip in lukewarm water for a few minutes until the glue dissolves, then rinse gently before your first use.
