Beautiful piece, slight color variation
The carving is stunning. My only note is that the color is slightly darker than the photos, which I actually prefer as it looks more authentic for aged wood. Very happy with the purchase.

Exquisite craftsmanship and beautiful grain
The detail on the lion's mane is incredible. You can tell this was carved by hand. The wood has a wonderful subtle scent and feels very smooth in the palm. A true collector's item.

Purchased this as a gift for my father who collects wooden figurines. He was absolutely thrilled. The packaging was secure and the presentation box adds a nice touch of elegance.

Authentic Taihang Thuja quality
As someone familiar with Thuja wood, I can confirm this is high-quality aged material. The density is great, and the carving style respects traditional techniques. Highly recommended.

Lovely decorative item
It sits beautifully on my bookshelf. The lion expression is fierce yet calm. It took a few days to arrive, but the quality makes up for the wait. Just be careful not to drop it on hard floors.

Perfect size for stress relief
I bought this to keep at my desk for when I need to focus. The weight is perfect, not too heavy but substantial enough to feel quality. The aged wood texture is soothing to touch.
Q: Is this carving made from solid wood or composite material?
A: This is carved from a single piece of solid, aged Taihang Thuja wood. There are no composite materials or fillers used.
Q: Can this be used as a paperweight?
A: Yes, weighing approximately 145 grams, it is substantial enough to serve as a decorative paperweight on a desk or table.
Q: How should I clean and maintain this carving?
A: We recommend dusting gently with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using water, chemical cleaners, or exposing the wood to direct sunlight for extended periods to preserve the finish.
Q: Is each piece identical since they are hand-carved?
A: While the design theme is consistent, slight variations in wood grain, color, and minor carving details occur because each piece is handmade from natural wood. This uniqueness adds to its value.
Q: Does the wood have a strong smell?
A: Taihang Thuja has a naturally mild, woody aroma that many find pleasant and calming. It is not overpowering and will fade slightly over time while remaining detectable.
