Beautiful item, slightly smaller than expected
The carving is fantastic and the wood quality is undeniable. I gave it 4 stars only because it looked a bit larger in the photos. However, the compact size actually makes it easier to handle and rotate in the palm. A solid collectible.

Great gift for wood enthusiasts
Purchased this for my father who loves wooden collectibles. He was thrilled with the deep red color and the traditional design. The packaging was also very secure and elegant. Highly recommend for anyone appreciating fine woodworking.

Calming and high quality
There is something very calming about holding and rubbing this piece. The wood warms up nicely in the hand. It's a beautiful display item that also serves as a stress-relief tool. No defects found on my unit.

Authentic small-leaf red sandalwood
As someone who collects various woods, I can confirm this is genuine small-leaf red sandalwood. The density causes it to sink in water, and the aroma is distinctively sweet and woody. The Pixiu motif is carved with great precision.

Exquisite craftsmanship and beautiful grain
The detail on this Pixiu is incredible. You can tell it was carved by hand. The red sandalwood has a wonderful scent and the grain patterns are even more striking in person. It feels substantial in the hand and makes for a great conversation piece on my desk.

Perfect size for pocket carry
I bought this as a portable play piece to keep in my pocket while at work. The edges are smooth and rounded, so it doesn't snag on clothing. The wood is dense and high quality. Very satisfied with the purchase.
Q: Does this come with a certificate of authenticity?
A: Yes, each piece comes with a card detailing the material origin and craftsmanship, though specific laboratory certification is not included unless requested separately.
Q: Does the wood have a strong scent?
A: Small-Leaf Red Sandalwood has a subtle, sweet, and woody fragrance. It is not overpowering like some synthetic scents; the aroma is most noticeable when the wood is warmed by friction or close contact.
Q: Is the carving done by machine or hand?
A: This ornament is 100% hand-carved by skilled artisans. While the initial shaping may use basic tools, all intricate details of the Pixiu are finished manually, meaning each piece has unique characteristics.
Q: How should I maintain the red sandalwood to keep its color?
A: To maintain the luster, avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight or extreme dryness. Occasionally wiping it with a soft, dry cloth or your clean hands will help develop a natural patina over time.
Q: Can this be used as a paperweight?
A: Absolutely. With a weight of approximately 65 grams and a flat base designed into the stance of the beast, it functions excellently as a decorative paperweight for light papers.
