Great value raw stone
As a student, I didn't want to spend a fortune on an ornate inkstone. This raw stone works exceptionally well for daily practice. The only reason for 4 stars is that the edges were slightly rougher than expected, but nothing a little sandpaper couldn't fix.

Sturdy and functional
Bought the 6.5-inch size for my home studio. It has a good weight to it so it doesn't slide around on the desk while grinding. The natural stone look is beautiful in its simplicity. Very satisfied with this purchase.

Exceeded expectations

Good starter inkstone

Excellent grinding texture
