Great sound, slightly heavy for small hands

The sound quality is beautiful and much better than other entry-level flutes we tried. My only minor concern is that it feels a little bit heavy for my 8-year-old's smaller hands during long practice sessions, but she is getting used to it quickly.

Perfect first flute for my daughter

We bought this for our 10-year-old who just started band class. The teacher recommended Yamaha, and we can see why. It plays easily, stays in tune well, and feels very sturdy. The case is also high quality and protects the instrument perfectly during transport to school.

Reliable and durable

Upgrade from rental was worth it

Solid standard model
