Reliable TCP/IP Stack
I needed a hardware offload for TCP/IP to save MCU cycles, and this board delivers. The connection remains stable even under heavy data load. Documentation was sufficient to get started quickly.

Perfect for STM32 Projects

Good for learning networking

Superior to W5100
Upgraded from the older W5100 module and the difference in speed and socket management is night and day. The 8 independent sockets allow for complex multi-client applications without lag.

Great value, minor pin spacing issue
The W5500 chip performs exactly as expected with high throughput. My only complaint is that the header pins are slightly tight on standard breadboards, but once soldered to a PCB, it works perfectly.

Solid build quality
We used several of these for a prototype industrial controller. The RJ45 jack feels sturdy, and the link/activity LEDs are bright and clear. No packet loss observed during 48-hour stress tests.
