Excellent for motor control applications
I am using this to drive a BLDC motor controller. The timer peripherals are robust and the processing power is sufficient for real-time control loops. Highly recommended.

Perfect for learning ARM Cortex-M3

Solid core board, minor soldering needed
The chip performs well at 72MHz. Note that some header pins might need to be soldered on depending on your specific kit version. Once set up, debugging via SWD is smooth.

Good hardware, steep learning curve
The hardware itself is excellent quality. Just be prepared if you are new to register-level programming or HAL libraries; it's not as plug-and-play as AVR boards, but that's expected.
Q: Are the GPIO pins 5V tolerant?
A: Most GPIO pins on the STM32F103ZET6 are 5V tolerant, but not all. Please refer to the specific datasheet for the pinout diagram to identify which pins can safely accept 5V logic levels.
Q: What is the maximum current this board can supply to external sensors?
A: The 3.3V regulator on the board can typically supply up to 200mA-300mA depending on the specific LDO installed. For high-current devices, please use an external power source.
