Robust industrial performance
Been running this board connected to three different sensors for a month straight. No dropouts, stable communication, and the opto-isolation gives great peace of mind against voltage spikes.

Solid converter board
We used these to bridge old PLCs to a new SCADA system. They work reliably. The only improvement would be adding screw terminals for power input instead of just headers.

Great value, minor documentation gaps
Hardware quality is excellent for the price. The STM32 chip handles multiple serial channels without lag. I deducted one star because the pinout diagram in the manual could be clearer for the 3-way configuration.

Perfect for Modbus projects
This board saved me weeks of design time. The RS485 isolation works flawlessly in our noisy factory environment, and the Modbus RTU implementation was straightforward using the provided libraries.

A: The theoretical maximum distance for RS485 is up to 1200 meters (4000 feet) at lower baud rates, provided you use high-quality shielded twisted pair cabling and proper termination resistors.
Q: How do I switch between 2-way and 3-way modes?
A: The mode is selected via hardware jumpers labeled 'CH_SEL' on the PCB. Please refer to page 4 of the user manual for the specific jumper settings to enable the third channel.
Q: Does this board support both half-duplex and full-duplex RS485?
A: Yes, the board supports half-duplex RS485 by default. With specific jumper configurations and firmware adjustments, it can be adapted for full-duplex RS422/485 applications depending on the channel setup.
