Works well but needs careful wiring
The module itself is fine, but the pinout diagram on the back was slightly faded. Make sure to check the datasheet online before soldering headers. Functionality is as expected once connected correctly.

Solid performance, watch the voltage
The board is well-made and the chip is genuine. Just be careful with the voltage levels if you are connecting directly to a 5V logic microcontroller without a level shifter. Once sorted, communication is stable.

Great for prototyping
We bought five of these for our university lab. They handle multiple tag types easily and the library support for PlatformIO is excellent. Highly recommended for educational purposes.

Good range with external antenna
Using the onboard trace antenna gives about 3-4cm range, but when I connected a larger external coil, I got close to 8cm. Very flexible for different project requirements.

Perfect for DIY Access Control Projects
This module works flawlessly with my Arduino Uno. The documentation provided by the seller was clear, and I had it reading Mifare cards within an hour. Great value for learning NFC technology.

Easy to start with
As a beginner, I was worried this would be too complex. The example codes worked out of the box. It's a fantastic way to understand how wireless communication works.
Q: What is the maximum current draw during transmission?
A: During active transmission (Tx mode), the module typically draws around 80mA to 100mA. Please ensure your power supply can handle this peak current to maintain stable operation.
Q: Is this compatible with 5V Arduino boards without a logic level converter?
A: While the module has a voltage regulator, the data lines are 3.3V logic. We strongly recommend using a logic level converter when interfacing with 5V microcontrollers like the Arduino Uno to prevent potential damage.
Q: What libraries do you recommend for ESP32?
A: For ESP32, the 'Adafruit PN532' library and the 'Seeed Studio PN532' library are both highly compatible and widely used. They support UART and I2C interfaces seamlessly.
Q: Does this module come with an antenna included?
A: Yes, the board includes a small onboard PCB trace antenna suitable for short-range testing. For longer range applications, you can connect an external coil antenna via the dedicated pads.
Q: Can this read credit cards or bank cards?
A: This module can read the public UID and basic data from NFC-enabled cards that use supported protocols (like ISO 14443). However, it cannot access encrypted financial data or perform transactions due to security restrictions inherent in banking chips.
