Perfect for my Orange Pi project
This camera module worked instantly with my Orange Pi 3. No driver installation was needed, which saved me hours of troubleshooting. The 1080p quality is crisp enough for my home automation vision system.

True UVC compliance
I tested this on Windows 10, Linux, and Android TV. It was recognized immediately as a standard webcam on all platforms. The build quality feels sturdy, and the cable is flexible.

Solid basic webcam module
Does exactly what it says. No frills, just a reliable 1080p stream over USB. The microphone audio is clear enough for voice commands but not for professional recording.

Good value, decent low-light performance
For the price, this is a solid choice for development boards. It works well in good lighting. In low light, there is some grain, but that is expected for this sensor size. Plug and play on Ubuntu was a breeze.

Works but fixed focus is limiting
The camera works as described for general use, but the fixed focus makes it hard to capture close-up details of small components for my inspection project. Great for room-scale monitoring though.
Q: Does it support night vision or IR?
A: This module does not have built-in IR LEDs for night vision. However, it has decent sensitivity in low-light environments if an external light source is provided.
Q: What is the maximum frame rate at 720p resolution?
A: At 720p resolution, the camera can achieve up to 60 frames per second, providing smoother video for motion tracking applications.
Q: Can I adjust the focus manually?
A: No, this specific model features a fixed-focus lens optimized for distances between 1 meter and infinity. It does not have a manual focus ring.
Q: Is the microphone muted by default?
A: No, the built-in microphone is active by default. You can mute or adjust the volume through your operating system's sound settings or within your application code.
Q: Is this camera compatible with Raspberry Pi 4?
A: Yes, since it uses the standard UVC protocol, it is fully compatible with Raspberry Pi 4 running Raspbian or other Linux distributions without needing extra drivers.
