Solid performance for prototyping
We used several of these for initial prototyping before moving to custom PCBs. They are reliable and stable. Wish it had an onboard debugger, but for the price, it's acceptable.

Great value, minor documentation gaps
Hardware works flawlessly with STM32CubeIDE. Only giving 4 stars because the schematic provided could be more detailed regarding power regulation specifics. Otherwise, excellent core board.

Ideal for motor control applications
Using this for a quadruped robot controller. The timers and ADC resolution are top-notch. Bootloaders work immediately out of the box.
Q: Does this board come with an onboard ST-Link debugger?
A: No, this is a minimal system core board and does not include an onboard debugger. You will need an external ST-Link V2 or V3 programmer to flash code.
Q: Is the 5V pin an input or output?
A: The 5V pin can function as both. You can supply 5V to power the board, or if powered via USB, it can output 5V. Please ensure you do not conflict power sources.
Q: Can I use this with Arduino IDE?
A: Yes, you can use this board with Arduino IDE by installing the appropriate STM32 board support package (BSP) developed by STMicroelectronics.
Q: Are the headers pre-soldered?
A: No, the headers are not pre-soldered to allow for flexible mounting options. You will need to solder them yourself based on your project requirements.
Q: What is the maximum current this board can source on the 3.3V rail?
A: The onboard LDO regulator can typically supply up to 500mA. However, for high-current peripherals, we recommend using an external power supply connected to the VIN pin.
