Great hardware, documentation needs work
The board itself is powerful and the octa-core processor handles multitasking effortlessly. However, some of the peripheral pinout diagrams in the wiki were slightly outdated. Support helped clarify quickly though.
Q: Does the package include a heatsink or cooling fan?
A: The standard kit includes a passive aluminum heatsink. An active cooling fan module is available as an optional accessory for high-load environments.
Q: Can I use this board for real-time object detection with multiple cameras?
A: Absolutely. With 4 MIPI CSI interfaces and 6 TOPS NPU power, it is designed specifically for multi-camera real-time inference tasks.
Q: Is there an official Docker container available for the NPU tools?
A: Yes, we provide an official Docker image containing the RKNPU toolkit and sample code on our GitHub repository.
Q: What is the maximum capacity for the eMMC storage onboard?
A: The board comes with options ranging from 8GB to 128GB eMMC. You can also boot from an external NVMe SSD for larger storage needs.
Q: Does this board support dual 4K display output simultaneously?
A: Yes, the RK3576J supports dual 4K @ 60Hz output via HDMI 2.1 and MIPI DSI concurrently.
