Great value, minor documentation gaps
Hardware quality is solid for the price point. The soldering on the header pins was clean. I wish the datasheet had more examples for the timer peripherals, but overall a good buy.

Perfect for low-power projects
This core board is exactly what I needed for my sensor node project. The M0+ core runs efficiently at 24MHz, and the pinout is clearly labeled. Setup with the IDE was straightforward.

Ideal for learning ARM architecture
As a student transitioning from AVR to ARM, this board made the learning curve much smoother. It's affordable enough to buy a few for testing different circuit configurations without worry.

Exceeded expectations

Reliable and compact
Used this in a custom PCB design as a reference. The form factor is tiny yet provides all necessary connections. Flash programming via SWD works flawlessly every time.

Solid performance for basic control
Does exactly what it says on the tin. Not suitable for heavy DSP tasks, but for simple industrial control logic or reading sensors, it performs perfectly. Good thermal stability.
Q: Can I power this directly via USB?
A: No, this is a core board without an onboard USB-to-UART bridge. You must provide 3.3V power externally or use a separate adapter board.
Q: Is this board compatible with standard ST-Link programmers?
A: Yes, this board supports the standard SWD interface and is fully compatible with ST-Link V2/V3 and other generic SWD debuggers.
Q: Is there an Arduino core available for this chip?
A: Currently, official support is primarily through vendor-specific IDEs and Keil/IAR. Community Arduino ports are in development but not yet stable for production use.
Q: Does the package include headers pre-soldered?
A: The standard SKU comes with headers included but not pre-soldered to allow for flexible mounting options. You will need to solder them yourself.
Q: What is the current consumption in sleep mode?
A: In deep sleep mode, the PY32F002 typically consumes less than 2µA, making it excellent for battery-operated applications.
