Great hardware, documentation could be better
The board itself is solid and the RISC-V core performs well. However, some of the specific pinout diagrams for the Seeed Studio version were a bit hard to find initially. Once set up, it works flawlessly.

Perfect for Matter and Thread projects
This board is exactly what I needed for my smart home hub project. The Wi-Fi 6 support is blazing fast, and getting Zigbee and Thread working simultaneously was surprisingly easy with the latest ESP-IDF. Highly recommended for IoT developers.

Seamless integration with Home Assistant
Flashed ESPHome onto this board immediately. It connects to my network instantly and the signal strength is impressive compared to older ESP32 models. The USB-C port is a nice modern touch.

Good learning board
As someone new to embedded systems, this board was easy to get started with using Arduino IDE. The only reason for 4 stars is that it runs a bit warm when transmitting Wi-Fi continuously, but nothing concerning.

Future-proof connectivity
Having Wi-Fi 6, Zigbee, and Thread on a single cheap board is incredible. I am using these to replace old nodes in my house. The range and stability are top-notch.

Excellent value for Wi-Fi 6 dev
I've used many ESP boards, and this C6 variant is a game changer for low-power, high-throughput applications. The Bluetooth 5.3 LE is also very stable. Great addition to my lab.
Q: Does it support OTA (Over-The-Air) updates?
A: Yes, the ESP32-C6 supports OTA updates. You can implement this using the ESP-IDF, Arduino Core, or platforms like ESPHome to update your firmware wirelessly over Wi-Fi.
Q: Can I power this board with a 3.7V LiPo battery directly?
A: No, you should not connect a LiPo battery directly to the 5V or 3.3V pins. This board does not have a built-in LiPo charging circuit. Please use an external regulator or a dedicated battery module to ensure safe voltage levels.
Q: Does this board support the Arduino IDE?
A: Yes, the ESP32-C6 is fully supported by the Arduino IDE. You will need to install the Espressif Systems board package and select the 'Xiao ESP32C6' or relevant Seeed Studio variant in the board manager.
