Great value, minor documentation gaps
Hardware quality is solid and the VET6 chip offers plenty of resources. The schematic is available, but some of the peripheral usage examples in the manual could be more detailed. Still a great buy for the price.

Solid hardware, standard layout
The layout follows standard conventions which makes it easy to integrate into custom enclosures. The crystal oscillator accuracy is good. Would prefer if it came with a case, but that's a minor complaint.

Perfect for learning ARM Cortex-M3
This board is excellent for beginners and intermediate users. The pinout is clearly labeled, and the included examples work straight out of the box with Keil and STM32CubeIDE. Highly recommended for students.

Best board for university projects
Bought this for my final year project. It handles complex ADC readings and PWM generation without breaking a sweat. The community support for Dr. Gao boards is also quite helpful.

Robust build for industrial prototypes
I used this for a motor control prototype. The voltage regulation is stable, and the multiple UART/SPI/I2C interfaces made connecting sensors very easy. No issues after weeks of continuous testing.

Easy to get started
As someone new to STM32, I was worried about the setup. This board made it simple. The bootloader works well, and uploading code via SWD was hassle-free. Great entry point into 32-bit development.
Q: Does this board come with a built-in programmer or do I need an external ST-Link?
A: This specific Aries model does not have a built-in programmer. You will need an external ST-Link V2 or J-Link debugger to flash code and debug via the SWD/JTAG headers provided on the board.
