Solid module for prototyping
Works as advertised. The 5V logic level matches perfectly with most development boards. Would have liked a longer cable attached, but that's a minor issue.

Great for learning embedded systems
Used this in my university electronics lab. It worked flawlessly with the ESP32. The 'running horse' effect mentioned in the title is easy to code using standard libraries.

Excellent color accuracy
The color reproduction is surprisingly good for such a small module. I've daisy-chained three of them without any signal degradation. Will buy more.

Bright and responsive
Very bright even at lower power settings. The refresh rate is smooth with no visible flickering. Great value for the price compared to buying individual strips.

Good quality, fast shipping
The build quality is solid. The soldering on the headers was clean. Only giving 4 stars because the included documentation was a bit sparse, but plenty of examples exist online.

Perfect for Arduino projects
These modules are exactly what I needed for my lighting project. The colors are vibrant, and the single-wire control makes wiring incredibly simple. Highly recommended for beginners.
Q: Can I control each LED individually?
A: Absolutely. Each of the 8 LEDs on the module is addressable, allowing you to set unique colors and brightness levels for every single bead.
Q: What is the maximum current draw for one module?
A: At full brightness white, each LED draws about 60mA. With 8 LEDs, the module can draw up to 480mA. Ensure your power supply can handle the total load if chaining multiple units.
Q: Is this compatible with 3.3V microcontrollers?
A: Yes, the WS2812B data line is generally tolerant of 3.3V logic signals from boards like the ESP32 or Raspberry Pi, though a level shifter is recommended for long runs.
Q: Can I connect multiple modules together?
A: Yes, these modules are designed to be daisy-chained. You can connect the output pin of one module to the input pin of the next to create longer strips.
Q: Does this require an external library for Arduino?
A: While you can write raw code, we recommend using the Adafruit NeoPixel library or FastLED library for easier control and better performance.
