Good hardware, average docs
The hardware itself is top-notch with clean signal integrity. The schematic diagrams could be more detailed regarding the power rail distribution, but otherwise a great product.

Great value but runs warm
Solid build quality and all peripherals work as expected in Vivado. I recommend adding a small fan to the heatsink if you are running intensive logic at full clock speeds.

Excellent board for high-speed prototyping
The XCAU15P chip performs flawlessly. The FMC HPC connector is perfect for attaching my custom ADC mezzanine card. Documentation was clear and setup took less than an hour.
Q: Is there a Linux BSP available for this board?
A: Yes, we provide a Petalinux BSP and root filesystem images on our official GitHub repository under the ALINX-XCAU15P section.
Q: Can I power this board via USB-C?
A: No, this specific model requires a 12V DC power supply connected through the barrel jack. The USB ports are for data and JTAG programming only.
Q: What is the maximum voltage supported on the FMC HPC VADJ?
A: The FMC HPC connector supports VADJ voltages of 1.2V, 1.8V, 2.5V, and 3.3V, configurable via jumpers on the board.
Q: Does the board come with a cooling fan?
A: The board includes a passive aluminum heatsink. A cooling fan is not included but can be easily attached using the standard mounting holes near the FPGA.
Q: Does this board support Vivado 2023.2?
A: Yes, the XCAU15P is fully supported by Vivado 2023.2 and later versions. Please ensure you have the appropriate device files installed.
