Good value but needs calibration
The module arrived quickly. It works well but I had to adjust the zero point in my code to get accurate readings at idle.
Q: Can this module measure both AC and DC current?
A: Yes, the ACS712 chip is capable of measuring both AC and DC current depending on your code implementation.
Q: What is the output voltage when no current is flowing?
A: At zero current, the output voltage is typically VCC/2, which is approximately 2.5V when powered by 5V.
Q: Is there electrical isolation between the current path and the sensor?
A: Yes, the ACS712 uses Hall Effect technology which provides galvanic isolation between the current path and the signal pins.
Q: Is this compatible with 3.3V logic boards like Raspberry Pi?
A: Yes, it can work with 3.3V systems, but please note that sensitivity may vary based on the supply voltage provided.
Q: Does the package include pin headers for soldering?
A: Yes, the module comes with standard pin headers included in the package.
