Perfect for classroom display
Bought this to show students what primitive solar system material looks like. The contrast between the dark matrix and yellow inclusions is very educational.

Great piece, small size
Beautiful matrix and clear minerals. Just be aware that 21 grams is quite small, though expected for this price point. The display case is a nice touch.

Stunning yellow inclusions
The yellow CAI fragments are even more vibrant in person than in the photos. The tail cut reveals the internal structure beautifully. A perfect addition to my meteorite collection.

Nice addition to the shelf
Very interesting texture and coloration. One star off only because the acrylic case had a tiny scratch, but the stone itself is flawless.

Authentic and well documented
The letter of authenticity provides good details on the find. The cut surface is smooth and allows for great viewing of the chondrules without magnification.
Q: Can I see the specific CAI fragments before buying?
A: We select specimens randomly from the NWA 16108 batch. While all contain yellow CAI and olivine, the exact pattern varies per stone as they are natural objects.
Q: Is this magnetic?
A: Carbonaceous chondrites typically have low metal content compared to iron meteorites, so the magnetic response is usually very weak or negligible.
Q: What does CO3 mean in the classification?
A: CO3 indicates a Carbonaceous Chondrite of petrologic type 3, meaning it is primitive and has undergone very little thermal metamorphism, preserving original solar nebula materials.
Q: Is the 21.1g weight the total weight including the box?
A: No, the 21.1g refers strictly to the weight of the meteorite specimen itself. The packaging and display case add additional weight for shipping.
Q: Does this come with a stand or display case?
A: Yes, each specimen comes housed in a clear acrylic display cube to protect the cut surface and allow for 360-degree viewing.
