Perfect starter kit for my calligraphy journey
I was intimidated to start calligraphy, but this set made it so easy. The wolf-hair brush holds ink beautifully and the instructions included were very clear. Highly recommended for adults wanting a new hobby.

Great quality brushes, ink takes practice
The brushes are fantastic, especially the purple-hair one which offers great control. Grinding the ink stick takes some time to get the right consistency, but that is part of the traditional experience. Good value overall.

Excellent for stress relief
Using this set in the evening has become my favorite way to unwind. The flow of the brush on the rice paper is incredibly satisfying. The variety of tools lets you experiment with different strokes immediately.

Good components, wish there was more paper
The quality of the brushes and inkstone is superb for the price. My only critique is that the pack of rice paper runs out quickly if you practice daily. I ended up buying a separate refill pack.

Exceeded expectations for a beginner set
I expected basic tools, but these are professional grade. The wolf-hair brush has excellent snap back, making it forgiving for beginners learning stroke order. A wonderful investment in culture and art.
