Perfect drop-in replacement
My original hotend started clogging frequently, so I ordered this upgrade kit. Installation took less than 15 minutes on my CR-6 SE. The print quality improved immediately with better layer adhesion.

Good value but fan is loud
The heating performance is excellent and temperatures are stable. However, the included cooling fan is slightly louder than the stock one. Still a great buy for the price.

Solid build quality
The machining on the heater block is precise. I appreciate that it comes fully assembled because aligning the components manually can be tricky. Works great with PETG.

Solved my heat creep issues
I was experiencing constant heat creep with PLA prints. This complete assembly fixed the problem entirely. The thermal barrier seems much more effective than the original.
Q: Is the silicone sock included in the package?
A: This kit includes the metal components and fan. The silicone insulation sock is sold separately to allow users to choose their preferred brand or thickness.
Q: Does this support high-temperature filaments like Nylon?
A: The standard version comes with a brass nozzle suitable for PLA, PETG, and TPU. For Nylon or carbon-fiber filled filaments, we recommend purchasing the hardened steel nozzle variant separately.
Q: What is the maximum temperature rating?
A: The heating cartridge and thermistor are rated for continuous operation up to 300°C, which covers most common consumer 3D printing materials.
Q: Is this compatible with the standard CR-10?
A: No, this specific assembly is designed exclusively for the CR-6 SE and CR-5 Pro models. The mounting geometry differs from the CR-10 series.
Q: Do I need to update my firmware after installing this?
A: Generally, no firmware update is required as this is a direct hardware replacement with identical electrical specifications. However, always ensure your PID settings are calibrated for best results.
