Exceeded expectations
I bought this for my daughter who is transitioning to a larger size. The 15.5 inch body fits her perfectly, and the sound is mature and complex. The ebony pegs turn smoothly which is a huge plus.

Beautiful craftsmanship
The attention to detail on the purfling and scroll carving is evident. It plays effortlessly across all registers. The included case is also sturdy and well-padded.

Lovely instrument with minor setup tweak
The wood quality is exceptional and the finish is glossy yet rustic. I had a local luthier lower the action slightly, and now it plays like a dream. Very happy with this purchase.

Stunning visual and warm tone
The tiger striping on the back is absolutely breathtaking in person. Beyond the looks, the tone is rich and resonant, perfect for chamber music. The setup was excellent right out of the case.

Perfect upgrade from my student model
This viola has a depth of sound I haven't heard in this price range. The antique finish gives it a sophisticated look that feels much older than it is. Highly recommend for advancing students or semi-pros.

Great value for a handcrafted instrument
I was skeptical about the price point for a fully handcrafted viola, but this exceeded my expectations. The ebony fittings are smooth and the projection is impressive. Took off one star only because the bridge needed slight adjustment for my preference.

A: Since these are handcrafted instruments, if your specific size is not in immediate stock, please allow 2-3 weeks for final finishing and setup. In-stock items ship within 2 business days.
Q: Does this viola come with a bow and case?
A: This listing is for the viola only. However, we offer matching bows and hard cases separately in our accessories section that are perfectly sized for this model range.
Q: Is the fingerboard made of real ebony or dyed wood?
A: All our premium models feature genuine solid ebony for the fingerboard, pegs, and tailpiece. We do not use dyed hardwoods for these critical components.
