Professional grade performance
Used these for a small conference room renovation. The constant impedance makes wiring multiple zones much easier. Voice intelligibility is crisp and clear, which was our main priority.

Exceeded expectations
Replaced old surface-mount speakers with these Hivi units. The difference in aesthetics and sound staging is night and day. The tweeter adjustment feature is a nice touch for fine-tuning.

Great audio quality, easy to paint
The sound clarity is excellent for background music in our retail store. The grille took paint very well without clogging the mesh. Only giving 4 stars because the mounting clips felt a bit tight during install.

Invisible but powerful
You literally forget they are there until you turn them on. The bass response is better than expected for a 5-inch driver. Very happy with this purchase for our living room.

Solid choice for engineering audio
We installed twelve of these in a hallway system. They handle high volume without distortion. The build quality feels durable. Would have liked a slightly deeper mounting depth option for thicker insulation.
Q: What is the maximum number of these speakers I can connect to a standard 100W amplifier?
A: Since these are 8-ohm constant impedance speakers, connecting two in parallel drops the load to 4 ohms. For a stable 100W amplifier, we recommend running no more than two pairs (4 speakers total) in a series-parallel configuration to maintain safe impedance levels.
Q: Are these compatible with 70V/100V distributed audio systems?
A: No, the Hivi VX5-W is a low-impedance (8 Ohm) speaker. To use it in a 70V/100V system, you would need to add an external step-down transformer for each speaker, or select our VX5-T model which has a built-in transformer.
Q: Can these speakers be used in a bathroom or high-humidity area?
A: While the VX5-W is built with quality materials, it is not IP-rated for direct water exposure. We recommend using it in dry indoor ceilings only. For bathrooms, please look at our specific IPX4 rated models.
Q: Is the tweeter angle adjustable after installation?
A: The tweeter direction can be adjusted slightly before finalizing the grille placement, but once the grille is snapped in and painted, adjusting the angle is not recommended as it may damage the finish.
Q: Does the package include the cut-out template?
A: Yes, each speaker box includes a paper cut-out template and the necessary mounting hardware (dog-ear clamps and screws) for easy installation.
