Reliable protection for valves
These boxes provide excellent protection for our water intake valves. We have had them in the ground for a season now, and they show no signs of cracking or fading.

Good standard box
Does the job well. The walls are thick enough to prevent collapsing under heavy mulch. Just make sure you have the right tools to dig the hole to the correct depth.

Durable and easy to install
The plastic feels very sturdy and should hold up well against soil pressure. Installation was straightforward. I deducted one star only because the lid is sold separately, which wasn't immediately clear.

A: No, the lid is sold separately to allow you to choose the specific load rating and style needed for your location.
Q: Can this box withstand drive-over traffic?
A: The box itself is durable, but for drive-over applications, you must pair it with a specifically rated H-20 traffic lid and proper concrete collar installation.
Q: What is the maximum valve size that fits inside?
A: This 14-inch model is designed to accommodate standard 1-inch and 1.5-inch solenoid valves comfortably, with room for wiring connections.
Q: Does this come in other colors besides green?
A: Currently, the VB1220 model is only available in green, which is the industry standard for irrigation and water applications.
Q: How deep can this be buried?
A: While there is no strict limit, we recommend burying it so the top rim is just below the sod line. Extensions are available if deeper burial is required.
