Solid build quality

Very robust construction. I deducted one star only because the silicone sock fit was a bit tight, but once on, it stays secure.

Perfect upgrade for abrasive filaments

Switched to this hardened steel hotend to print carbon fiber nylon and it works flawlessly. No clogging issues so far after 200 grams of material.

Easy installation and great performance

Essential for engineering materials

If you plan on printing anything with carbon or glass fiber, this is mandatory. The standard brass nozzle wore out in two spools; this one is still perfect.

Great product, read the manual

Works great now, but make sure you calibrate the flow rate after installation. My first print failed until I ran the calibration routine.

Q: How often should I replace the hardened steel nozzle?

A: Hardened steel nozzles last significantly longer than brass. Depending on usage and filament abrasiveness, they can last 6 to 12 months or more before needing replacement.

Q: Is this compatible with the original Bambu Lab X1 non-Carbon version?

A: Yes, this Extruder 2.0 assembly is fully compatible with the X1, X1C, P1P, and P1S models.

Q: Do I need to update the firmware before installing?

A: No firmware update is strictly required for hardware compatibility, but we always recommend running the latest firmware for optimal thermal control and calibration features.

Q: Does this come with a 0.6mm nozzle option?

A: This specific SKU comes with a standard 0.4mm hardened steel nozzle. We sell 0.6mm and 0.8mm nozzles separately if you need a different diameter.
