A centerpiece for our music room
Not only does it sound amazing, but it also looks gorgeous hanging on the wall. The flowerpot design is unique and adds a wonderful aesthetic to our practice space.

Beautiful instrument, needs breaking in
Visually stunning and well-constructed. The cowhide heads were a bit tight upon arrival, but after a week of playing, the tone has warmed up beautifully. Great addition to our percussion section.

Great value for a handcrafted item
The price is reasonable considering the hand-painted details and solid construction. Shipping was careful with plenty of padding. One drumstick was slightly loose, but easily fixed.

Perfect for traditional performances
I bought this for a cultural festival performance. The five tones are distinct and blend perfectly with other ethnic instruments. The connected frame makes it very stable during vigorous playing.

Exceptional Craftsmanship from Suzhou

Superior sound quality
As a percussion instructor, I am impressed by the resonance of these drums. The paulownia wood body contributes to a warm, deep timbre that synthetic drums just cannot match.
Q: How do I clean the lacquered floral surface without damaging it?
A: Please use a soft, dry microfiber cloth to dust the surface. Avoid using water, chemical cleaners, or alcohol, as these can damage the traditional lacquer finish and the painted details.
Q: Is the carrying case padded enough for air travel?
A: The included case features thick internal padding suitable for ground transport and careful handling. For air travel, we recommend placing the cased drum inside a hard-shell flight crate for maximum protection.
Q: Are the drumheads replaceable if they wear out over time?
A: Yes, the natural cowhide heads are designed to be replaceable. We offer replacement skins and can provide instructions on how to re-tension them properly.
Q: Does this come tuned to a specific musical scale?
A: The drums arrive pre-tuned to a standard pentatonic sequence suitable for most folk songs. However, the rope tension system allows you to adjust the pitch to match your specific ensemble requirements.
