Great value for professional use

Compared to other industrial sensors, this offers great value. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is that the manual could be more detailed regarding the alarm configuration steps.

Reliable but setup took time

The build quality is top-notch as expected from Vaisala. It took us a little while to configure the Modbus settings correctly, but once running, it has been flawless for three months.

Q: Does this unit come with a calibration certificate?

A: Yes, every Vaisala DMT143 unit ships with an individual calibration certificate traceable to national standards.

Q: Does it support integration with Siemens PLCs?

A: Yes, since it supports standard Modbus RTU over RS-485, it is fully compatible with Siemens PLCs and most other major industrial controllers.

Q: Is the display removable for remote mounting?

A: The display is integrated into the housing and is not designed to be separated. However, you can read all data remotely via the RS-485 interface.

Q: What is the typical warm-up time before accurate readings?

A: For best accuracy, we recommend a warm-up period of approximately 15 minutes after power-up, though initial readings will appear immediately.

Q: Can the alarm relay be configured for high dew point only?

A: Absolutely. The device allows you to set independent thresholds for high and low dew points, and you can enable just the high alarm if needed.
