Archival quality ink
As an architect, I need lines that won't fade over time. These pens deliver crisp, dark lines that are completely lightfast. The gray option is also excellent for shading technical drawings.

Smooth writing experience
I use these for bullet journaling and the writing experience is so smooth. The ink dries quickly, so there is no smudging even when I am left-handed. The blue color is a lovely deep shade.

Best Technical Pens on the Market
I have tried many brands, but Mitsubishi Uni is superior. The anti-clog cap actually works; I left one uncapped for a few minutes by accident, and it still wrote perfectly immediately after capping.

Reliable workhorse
Very reliable pens for daily sketching. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is that the finest tips can be delicate if you press too hard, but that is expected with such fine nibs.

Great precision, slightly pricey
The line consistency is amazing, especially the 0.05mm tip which is great for fine details. They are a bit more expensive than other brands, but the durability and fade resistance make them worth the investment.

Perfect for Manga Inking
These pens are absolutely fantastic for comic work. The ink flows smoothly without skipping, and the waterproof quality means I can watercolor over my lines without any bleeding. Highly recommended for artists.
Q: Can these pens be refilled?
A: No, the Mitsubishi Uni Color Technical Pens are disposable and not designed to be refilled. Once the ink is depleted, the entire pen should be recycled according to local regulations.
Q: Is the 0.03mm tip durable enough for daily use?
A: While the 0.03mm tip is made of durable stainless steel, it is extremely fine. We recommend using a light hand and avoiding excessive pressure to maintain the tip's integrity for long-term daily use.
Q: Are these pens safe to use on watercolor paper?
A: Yes, these pens are specifically designed with waterproof pigment ink, making them ideal for use on watercolor paper. You can paint over the lines once the ink is dry without worrying about smudging or bleeding.
Q: What is the difference between the black and the brown ink versions?
A: The primary difference is the color pigment. Both offer the same waterproof, fade-resistant, and anti-clog properties. The brown ink provides a warmer, sepia-toned line often preferred for vintage-style sketches or specific manga effects.
Q: How do I prevent the tip from getting clogged?
A: The Uni Color Technical Pen features an advanced anti-clog cap design. Simply ensure you snap the cap on tightly immediately after use. If the pen is not used for a long period, store it horizontally.
