Exceptional clay quality

The Dahongpao clay feels authentic and has a wonderful texture. The 120cc size is perfect for my daily Gongfu tea sessions. Highly recommended for serious tea drinkers.

Authentic Yixing feel

Great pot, small capacity

Excellent teapot for oolong teas. Just note that 120cc is quite small, so it's best for 2-3 people max. The clay seasons quickly.

Q: How do I season this teapot before first use?

A: Rinse the pot with warm water, then boil it in a pot of plain water for about 30 minutes. Some users also boil it with the tea leaves they intend to brew later to start the seasoning process.

Q: Does the 120cc capacity include the volume up to the brim?

A: Yes, the 120cc rating is typically measured to the brim. For practical brewing, you will get approximately 90-100ml of usable tea per steep depending on how full you fill it.

Q: Is the clay truly from the original mine?

A: Yes, this product is certified to use Original Mine Purple Dahongpao clay from Yixing. We provide authenticity documentation upon request for bulk orders.

Q: Can I put this in the dishwasher?

A: No, never put a Zisha teapot in a dishwasher. The harsh detergents and high heat will damage the porous clay and ruin the seasoning. Always hand wash with warm water only.

Q: Is this teapot suitable for green tea?

A: While it can be used for green tea, Zisha teapots are traditionally best suited for Oolong, Black, and Pu-erh teas due to their heat retention properties. For delicate green teas, a porcelain gaiwan might be preferred.
