Exceptional clay quality
The Dahongpao clay feels authentic and has a wonderful texture. The 120cc size is perfect for my daily Gongfu tea sessions. Highly recommended for serious tea drinkers.

Beautiful craftsmanship
I was amazed by the attention to detail on the lid and spout. It pours smoothly without dripping. The purple hue is rich and natural.

Authentic Yixing feel
You can tell this is made from original mine clay. It has that distinct sandy feel and improves the taste of my aged Pu-erh significantly.

Great pot, small capacity
Excellent teapot for oolong teas. Just note that 120cc is quite small, so it's best for 2-3 people max. The clay seasons quickly.

Lovely but delicate
The teapot is gorgeous and functions well. Handle with care as the clay can be brittle if dropped. Very happy with the purchase overall.
Q: How do I season this teapot before first use?
A: Rinse the pot with warm water, then boil it in a pot of plain water for about 30 minutes. Some users also boil it with the tea leaves they intend to brew later to start the seasoning process.
Q: Does the 120cc capacity include the volume up to the brim?
A: Yes, the 120cc rating is typically measured to the brim. For practical brewing, you will get approximately 90-100ml of usable tea per steep depending on how full you fill it.
Q: Is the clay truly from the original mine?
A: Yes, this product is certified to use Original Mine Purple Dahongpao clay from Yixing. We provide authenticity documentation upon request for bulk orders.
Q: Can I put this in the dishwasher?
A: No, never put a Zisha teapot in a dishwasher. The harsh detergents and high heat will damage the porous clay and ruin the seasoning. Always hand wash with warm water only.
Q: Is this teapot suitable for green tea?
A: While it can be used for green tea, Zisha teapots are traditionally best suited for Oolong, Black, and Pu-erh teas due to their heat retention properties. For delicate green teas, a porcelain gaiwan might be preferred.
