Good quality copper
The wire feels substantial and the copper strands are genuine. Stripping the insulation was easy without damaging the conductors. Only wish it came in longer pre-cut rolls.

Best choice for long runs

Perfect for industrial automation
Used this cable for connecting our PLC sensors. The shielding is excellent and eliminated the noise issues we were having with generic wires. Highly recommended for RS485 networks.

A: The standard conductor size for this model is 22 AWG (0.75mm²), which is ideal for most RS485 communication and low-voltage control applications.
Q: Does the shield need to be grounded at both ends?
A: For optimal noise rejection in RS485 networks, it is generally recommended to ground the shield at one end only to prevent ground loops, though specific system requirements may vary.
Q: Is this cable suitable for outdoor installation?
A: While the PVC jacket offers good protection, for direct burial or prolonged exposure to sunlight, we recommend running this cable inside a conduit or using our specific UV-resistant outdoor variant.
Q: Can I use this for powering 24V devices as well as data?
A: Yes, many customers use the extra cores in the 4 or 6-core versions to carry 24V DC power alongside the data signals, provided the current draw is within the wire's ampacity limits.
