Perfect for home tailoring projects
I upgraded from a manual machine to this Feiyue FY401 and the difference is night and day. The electronic speed control makes handling thick denim so much easier. The overlock stitch is clean and professional.

Excellent build quality

Heavy duty performance
I use this for making curtains and upholstery covers. It handles multiple layers of heavy fabric without jamming. The differential feed prevents puckering on stretchy materials. Highly recommended!

Best upgrade I've made

Good machine for the price
Does everything I need for my small clothing business. The cutters are sharp and trim fabric evenly. Took off one star because the foot pedal sensitivity took some getting used to.

Great value but needs patience to thread
The machine runs smoothly and quietly. My only complaint is that threading all four spools takes a bit of practice initially. Once set up, it works flawlessly for hemming pants and finishing seams.

A: With regular home use, the blades typically last for several years. You will know they need replacement if they start pulling the fabric instead of cutting cleanly.

A: No, a carrying case is not included in the standard box, but the machine is compact enough to fit in most universal sewing machine bags available separately.
Q: Can this machine sew leather?
A: Yes, the FY401 can handle lightweight to medium-weight leather. For very thick leather, we recommend testing on a scrap piece first and adjusting the tension accordingly.
