Reliable for autonomous navigation
Using this as the primary orientation sensor for an AGV project. The drift is minimal, and the magnetometer calibration tools are helpful. A solid choice for professional prototypes.

Perfect for ROS2 Projects
This IMU module integrated seamlessly with my ROS2 navigation stack. The data output is stable and the USB connection makes debugging very easy. Highly recommended for robotics enthusiasts.

Great accuracy, minor setup time
The 9-axis fusion algorithm works really well for attitude estimation. It took me a little while to configure the baud rate correctly, but once set up, the performance is excellent.

Excellent value for money
Compared to other industrial sensors, this offers incredible value. The build quality is solid, and the documentation provided by Yahboom was sufficient to get started quickly.

Good support and hardware
The hardware feels durable. I had a question about the pinout and the support team responded within a day. The only reason for 4 stars is that the cable could be a bit longer.

Stable readings under vibration
I tested this on a small wheeled robot over rough terrain. The sensor filtering handles vibration noise very well, providing smooth orientation data even during movement.
Q: Can I power this directly from a Raspberry Pi GPIO?
A: We recommend powering it via the USB port or an external 5V supply. While some Pi models can supply enough current, an external source ensures stable sensor performance.
Q: What is the maximum operating temperature?
A: The module is designed to operate reliably between -20°C and +70°C, making it suitable for most indoor and mild outdoor applications.
Q: Is this module compatible with ROS1 or only ROS2?
A: While this module is optimized for ROS2, it outputs standard serial data which can be easily parsed and used in ROS1 environments with custom nodes.
Q: Is there a Python library available for this sensor?
A: Yes, we provide a Python example script on our GitHub repository that demonstrates how to read and parse the data stream via USB.
Q: Does it come with a mounting bracket?
A: Yes, the package includes four mounting holes on the PCB and a set of small screws for secure attachment to your robot chassis.
