Reliable data acquisition
Works seamlessly with our existing SCADA system. The Modbus registers are well documented. Would prefer if the wireless version came standard, but the add-on works fine.
Q: Is the wireless module included in the base package?
A: The base package includes the wired RS485 module. The wireless LoRa or ZigBee module is an optional accessory that must be purchased separately and installed by the user.
Q: Does this support half-bridge strain gauges?
A: This specific model is optimized for full-bridge sensors. While half-bridge completion is theoretically possible with external resistors, we recommend our Half-Bridge specific model for best accuracy.
Q: How do I update the firmware if a new version is released?
A: Firmware updates can be performed via the RS485 interface using our free configuration utility software available on our official website under the 'Downloads' section.
Q: Can this module connect directly to a PC without an RS485 converter?
A: No, since most PCs do not have native RS485 ports, you will need a USB-to-RS485 converter adapter to establish communication with your computer.
Q: What is the maximum cable length supported for stable communication?
A: Under standard industrial conditions, RS485 supports cable lengths up to 1200 meters (approx. 4000 feet) without significant signal loss, depending on the baud rate used.
