Solid performance
No issues with stability. It handles minor voltage fluctuations well. Only giving 4 stars because the included headers were slightly bent, but that's minor.

Compact and reliable
The size is perfect for fitting into small enclosures. I used four of these to build a custom keypad, and they all respond instantly. Highly recommended.

Perfect for Arduino projects
This module works flawlessly with my Arduino Uno. The sensitivity is adjustable, and the toggle mode is great for making a touch lamp. Very easy to wire up.

Great replacement part
Bought this to replace a faulty sensor in an old device. The pinout is standard, and it dropped right in. The self-locking feature works exactly as described.

Good value, needs calibration
Works well once you figure out the right capacitor value for your specific setup. Out of the box, it was a bit too sensitive for thick acrylic, but adding a small cap fixed it.

Beginner friendly
As someone new to electronics, I found this very easy to use. Plenty of tutorials online show how to connect it. It lit up my LED on the first try!
Q: What is the maximum current this output can drive directly?
A: The direct output current is limited (approx. 4-8mA). It is sufficient to drive an indicator LED with a resistor, but for driving relays or motors, you should use a transistor or MOSFET as a switch.
Q: Is there a delay after power-on before it becomes active?
A: Yes, there is a stabilization time of approximately 0.2 seconds after power-up during which the sensor calibrates itself. Touch inputs during this brief period may not be registered.
Q: Does this come with soldered header pins?
A: The module usually comes with a separate bag of header pins that you need to solder yourself, allowing you to choose between straight or right-angle headers based on your project needs.
Q: Can this module detect touch through glass or acrylic?
A: Yes, the TTP223 can detect touch through non-conductive materials like glass or acrylic, typically up to 5-10mm thickness depending on the material and sensitivity settings.
Q: How do I switch between Toggle and Momentary mode?
A: The mode is selected by the state of the AHLB pin. Connecting AHLB to VSS enables Toggle mode, while connecting it to VDD enables Momentary mode. Please refer to the datasheet for the specific pin layout on this board.
