Perfect for DIY projects
This module works flawlessly with my Arduino Uno. The sensitivity adjustment pot makes it easy to tune for different panel thicknesses. Great value for the price.

Good sensor, needs calibration
The sensor is responsive, but you definitely need to spend time adjusting the potentiometer to avoid false triggers. Once set up, it's very reliable.

Reliable capacitive switch
I bought ten of these for a custom control panel project. All of them worked out of the box. The self-locking mode is particularly useful for power buttons.

Works well behind glass
Successfully used this behind a 3mm acrylic sheet. It detects touch perfectly. Just ensure your ground connection is solid for best performance.
Q: Is this compatible with 3.3V logic systems like ESP32?
A: Absolutely. The operating voltage range is 2.0V to 5.5V, so it works perfectly with both 3.3V and 5V microcontrollers including ESP32, ESP8266, and Raspberry Pi GPIO.
Q: Does the package include headers for breadboard use?
A: This specific listing includes the bare PCB module only. Pin headers are not included but can be easily soldered on by the user for breadboard compatibility.
Q: Can this module work through a 5mm wooden panel?
A: Yes, the TTP223 can typically detect touch through non-conductive materials like wood, plastic, or glass up to several millimeters thick, provided the sensitivity is adjusted correctly using the onboard potentiometer.
Q: How do I switch between self-locking and jogging modes?
A: The mode is selected by soldering a jumper on the back of the PCB. There are specific pads labeled for 'TOG' (toggle/locking) and 'MOM' (momentary/jogging). Please refer to the pinout diagram in the product manual.
Q: What is the maximum current this output pin can handle directly?
A: The direct drive output current is approximately 50mA. If you need to drive higher loads like relays or bright LEDs, we recommend using a transistor or MOSFET as a switch.
