Perfect for FPV Drone Stabilization
This ICM42688 module is incredibly responsive. The low noise floor makes a huge difference in flight smoothness compared to older MPU6050 modules. Easy to solder and integrate with Betaflight.

Solid upgrade for old projects
Replaced a faulty gyro in an old gimbal setup. The form factor fits perfectly, and the performance boost was immediate. Just ensure your logic level shifter is ready if running at 5V.

Professional grade performance

Good sensor, documentation could be better
The hardware quality is excellent and the sensor readings are accurate. However, finding specific register maps for advanced configuration took some digging. Once set up, it works flawlessly.

Great precision for balancing robots
Used this for a self-balancing robot project. The data output is very stable, and the dual voltage support saved me from needing a separate regulator. Highly recommended for hobbyists.
Q: Can I use this underwater for an ROV project?
A: The sensor module itself is not waterproof. You must house it in a watertight enclosure if you intend to use it for underwater robotics.
Q: Does this module come with headers pre-soldered?
A: No, the module is shipped without headers to allow for flexible mounting options. You will need to solder your own pin headers.
Q: Do you provide sample code for STM32?
A: We do not host code directly, but there are several open-source drivers available on GitHub specifically for STM32 HAL libraries that work with the ICM42688.
Q: What is the update rate for the gyroscope data?
A: The ICM42688 supports update rates up to 8kHz for the gyroscope, allowing for extremely fast response times in high-dynamic applications.
Q: Is this compatible with Arduino Uno?
A: Yes, it is fully compatible. Since the Arduino Uno operates at 5V and this module supports 3.3V/5V, you can connect it directly via I2C or SPI.
