Solid performance for the price
Compared to more expensive industrial sensors, this offers great accuracy for consumer-grade applications. It handles humidity changes reasonably well without drifting too much.

Works but sensitive to power noise
The sensor works fine, but I had to add a capacitor near the power pins because my unstable power supply caused occasional read errors. Once fixed, it runs smoothly.

Bought five for our workshop
We installed these in different rooms of our makerspace. They help us decide when to turn on the exhaust fans. Very responsive to soldering fumes and general occupancy.

Perfect for my smart home project
This module integrated seamlessly with my ESP32 setup. The I2C communication is stable, and the eCO2 readings seem consistent with my reference meter. Great value for hobbyists.

Excellent documentation support
The library examples provided made getting started incredibly easy. Reading TVOC and CO2 levels took less than an hour from unboxing to displaying on my OLED screen.

Good sensor, needs calibration time
Works well for monitoring my greenhouse ventilation. Just remember to let it run in fresh air for a few days initially to calibrate the baseline. Once done, data is reliable.
Q: Can this sensor detect carbon monoxide (CO)?
A: No, this specific SGP series module measures Total Volatile Organic Compounds (TVOC) and equivalent CO2 (eCO2), not Carbon Monoxide.
Q: What is the expected lifespan of the sensor element?
A: Under normal operating conditions, the sensor element is designed to last for several years, though accuracy may gradually drift over time requiring recalibration.
Q: Is there a library available for Arduino IDE?
A: Yes, there are several open-source libraries compatible with the Arduino IDE that support the SGP30/40/41 chips via I2C.
Q: Does this module come with pre-soldered header pins?
A: Yes, the module typically comes with male header pins already soldered for easy breadboard use.
Q: How do I reset the baseline if I move the sensor to a new location?
A: You can reset the baseline via software commands in your code. It is recommended to place the sensor in a well-ventilated area with fresh air for 24 hours after resetting.
