Great value, easy to integrate
Used this for a weather station project. The digital output is clean and the analog reading gives good granularity. Only minor issue is the pin spacing was slightly tight for my breadboard.

Excellent for learning projects
Bought this for a university IoT project. Documentation was clear enough to get it working in minutes. The LED indicators make debugging very easy.

Reliable rain detection
I've had this running outside under a small shelter for two months now. It hasn't failed once. The gold plating on the traces seems to resist corrosion well.

Perfect for my automated greenhouse
This sensor works flawlessly with my Arduino setup. The sensitivity adjustment is very precise, allowing me to detect even light drizzles. Build quality feels solid for the price.

Good sensitivity range
Works as advertised. I like that I can tune it to ignore humidity but catch actual rain drops. Would give 5 stars if it came with pre-soldered headers.
Q: Does this come with a cable or do I need to solder wires?
A: This module is sold as a bare board without pre-attached cables or headers. You will need to solder your own connector pins or wires for integration.
Q: What is the maximum current draw of this module?
A: The module typically draws around 20mA when the indicator LED is on and the sensor is active. In standby mode without rain, consumption is significantly lower.
Q: Is the sensor waterproof or just water-resistant?
A: The sensing area is designed to get wet, but the electronic components on the back (like the chip and pins) are not fully waterproof. We recommend mounting it where only the trace side is exposed to rain.
Q: Can I adjust the sensitivity while the module is powered on?
A: Yes, the blue potentiometer allows for real-time adjustment. You can turn it clockwise or counter-clockwise while powering the module to set your desired trigger threshold.
Q: Can this sensor be used directly with a Raspberry Pi GPIO?
A: Yes, but please ensure you use the 3.3V logic level. Since the module supports 3.3V-5V input, it is compatible, but double-check your specific Pi model's voltage tolerance before connecting.
