Best piezo kit I've tried
I have tried several different piezo sensors, and this PVDF kit offers the best balance of sensitivity and ease of use. The included headers make wiring simple.

Solid performer
Works as advertised. The analog output gives a nice waveform when viewed on an oscilloscope. Just be careful not to bend the film too sharply during installation.

Great for university labs
Bought five of these for our senior design project. They are robust and handle repeated testing well. The comparator threshold is easy to set.

Good quality, clear instructions needed
The sensor itself is high quality and the PVDF film is durable. I deducted one star because the pinout wasn't clearly labeled on the board, but a quick multimeter check solved it.

Excellent response time
I used this for a vibration monitoring prototype. The charge amplifier module provides a clean signal with minimal noise. The digital output triggers instantly.

Perfect for Arduino projects
This kit works flawlessly with my Arduino Uno. The sensitivity adjustment is very responsive, allowing me to detect even light taps on the film. Great value for the price.
Q: Is the output voltage compatible with 3.3V microcontrollers like ESP32?
A: Yes, the module operates on a 3.3V to 5V range, making it fully compatible with ESP32, ESP8266, and 3.3V Arduino boards.
Q: How do I adjust the sensitivity threshold?
A: There is a blue potentiometer on the PCB. Turn it clockwise to increase sensitivity (detect lighter touches) and counter-clockwise to decrease it.
Q: Does this kit come with connecting wires?
A: The kit includes the PCB with headers soldered, but jumper wires are not included in the standard package. You will need to provide your own Dupont wires.
Q: Can this sensor detect sound waves or only physical touch?
A: It can detect both. The PVDF film reacts to pressure changes caused by physical touch as well as air pressure variations from sound waves, though proximity to the source matters.
Q: What is the maximum temperature this film can withstand?
A: The PVDF film generally operates reliably up to approximately 80°C (176°F). Exceeding this may affect performance or damage the material.
