Great for university projects
Bought five of these for a group project involving water tank monitoring. They all worked out of the box with our 51 microcontroller kits. Highly recommended for students.

Perfect for my rain alarm project
This sensor works exactly as described. I connected it to an STM32 board and the sensitivity adjustment via the potentiometer is very precise. Great value for the price.

Good sensor, needs calibration
The module is well-made and the gold contacts look durable. You do need to spend a few minutes calibrating the threshold for your specific liquid, but once set, it is reliable.

Solid performance
Works well for non-corrosive liquids. I tested it with distilled water and tap water without issues. The response time is instant. Deducting one star only because the included pins were slightly bent.

Excellent sensitivity control
The blue potentiometer allows you to fine-tune exactly when the LED triggers. This is crucial for my application where I need to detect very small changes in water level.

Robust and simple
I appreciate the simplicity of the digital output. No complex libraries needed, just a simple GPIO read. The PCB coating seems to protect against mild corrosion well.
Q: Can this sensor be used directly with 3.3V logic systems?
A: Yes, the module operates within a 3.3V to 5V range, making it fully compatible with 3.3V logic systems like many STM32 variants.
Q: How long are the exposed copper traces expected to last in constant water?
A: The traces have a protective coating, but for continuous submersion over months, we recommend applying an additional conformal coating to prevent oxidation and extend lifespan.
Q: What is the maximum current consumption of this module?
A: The module consumes approximately 20mA when the detection LED is active. In standby mode (no water detected), consumption is significantly lower, around 2-3mA.
Q: Is this sensor suitable for measuring fuel levels?
A: While technically it can detect liquid presence, we do not recommend using this specific module for flammable liquids like fuel due to safety concerns regarding spark potential and material compatibility.
Q: Does this come with jumper wires?
A: The package includes the sensor module and a set of header pins. Jumper wires are not included but can be purchased separately in our store.
