Good value, just remember to preheat
Great little module for the price. Just a heads up for beginners: you must let it run for at least 24 hours before calibration or your readings will be way off. Once warmed up, it detects propane from my grill tank very reliably.

Needs careful calibration
The hardware is fine, but getting the right sensitivity took some trial and error. If you set the potentiometer too high, it gives false positives. Once calibrated correctly in a clean air environment, it performs well.

Works great with Raspberry Pi
Connected this to my Raspberry Pi GPIO pins via an ADC converter. The sensitivity is impressive; it picked up faint gas odors that I could barely smell. Highly recommend for anyone starting with gas detection projects.

Solid performance for DIY alarms
I built a standalone alarm system using this sensor and a buzzer. It triggers consistently when exposed to butane. The only downside is the power consumption is slightly higher than expected due to the heating element, but that's normal for this sensor type.

Perfect for my home safety project
This sensor module works exactly as described. I integrated it with an Arduino to monitor my kitchen for gas leaks. The analog output is stable after the initial preheat period, and the digital threshold is easy to adjust with the onboard potentiometer.
Q: Is the output voltage compatible with 3.3V microcontrollers?
A: The module runs on 5V. While the digital output is often TTL compatible, the analog output may exceed 3.3V limits. We recommend using a voltage divider or a logic level converter when connecting to 3.3V boards like ESP32.

A: For initial use, we recommend a preheat time of 24 to 48 hours to stabilize the sensor material. Subsequent power cycles usually require only a few minutes to reach operational stability.

A: No, this is a bare PCB module intended for indoor use or integration into a custom enclosure. It is not water-resistant and should be protected from moisture and direct weather exposure.
