Works well for plant watering system
Using this to monitor my reservoir for automatic plant watering. It handles the humidity well. Only giving 4 stars because the soldering points are a bit small for thick wires.

Bulk buy for our workshop
Bought ten of these for our student projects. All of them worked out of the box. The green PCB is clear and the components look solid. Great value for money.

Easy to integrate with Arduino
Connected VCC, GND, and OUT to my Arduino Uno. The digital output makes coding very simple. High when liquid is detected, low when empty. Highly recommended for beginners.

Excellent non-contact solution
I've tried contact sensors before that corroded quickly. This capacitive model solves that issue completely. Works through thick plastic bottles too.

Perfect for my aquarium project
This sensor works exactly as described. I mounted it outside my glass tank and it detects the water level accurately without any wires touching the water. Very safe and reliable.

Good sensitivity, needs calibration
The module is great quality. You do need to adjust the potentiometer on the back to get the sensitivity right for your specific container thickness, but once set, it stays consistent.
Q: Can this sensor detect liquid inside a metal container?
A: No, this is a capacitive sensor and it cannot penetrate metal walls. It works best with non-metallic containers like glass, plastic, or ceramic.
Q: What is the maximum wall thickness it can detect through?
A: Generally, it can detect through container walls up to 10mm thick, though sensitivity may vary depending on the material density. You can adjust the sensitivity using the onboard potentiometer.
Q: Does it output analog or digital signals?
A: This module outputs a digital signal (HIGH/LOW). If you require an analog reading for precise level measurement, you would need a different type of sensor.
Q: Is this module waterproof?
A: The sensing area is conformal coated and resistant to moisture, but the electronic components on the back are not fully waterproof. We recommend keeping the circuitry dry and only exposing the front sensing pad to the environment.
Q: Can I use this with a 3.3V microcontroller like ESP32?
A: Yes, the operating voltage range is 3.3V to 5.5V, so it is fully compatible with both 3.3V systems like ESP32 and 5V systems like Arduino Uno.
