Perfect for my Arduino robot car
This module works exactly as described. The sensitivity adjustment via the potentiometer is very smooth, allowing me to set the exact light threshold needed for my line-following robot. Great value for the price.

Solid performance
Works well for obstacle avoidance and light tracking. The response time is fast enough for real-time applications. Would recommend buying a few spares as they are very affordable.

Reliable light detection
I use these modules for an automatic garden lighting system prototype. They have been running outdoors (in a protective case) for weeks without failure. The LM393 comparator is stable and noise-free.

Great for school projects

Exceeded expectations

Good quality, easy to integrate
The soldering points are clear and the component layout is logical. It responded quickly to changes in lighting during my tests. Only minor issue is the connector wires were a bit short for my specific chassis setup.

A: The package typically includes the sensor module only. Jumper wires are sold separately, but any standard female-to-female or female-to-male wires will fit the 3-pin header.
Q: Can this be used to detect infrared light?
A: This module uses a photoresistor designed primarily for visible light. While it may react slightly to strong IR sources, it is not optimized for infrared detection; we recommend an dedicated IR receiver module for that purpose.
Q: Is this module compatible with 5V Arduino Uno boards?
A: Yes, this module operates within a 3.3V to 5V range, making it fully compatible with the Arduino Uno and most standard microcontrollers.
Q: What is the maximum current consumption of this sensor?
A: The module consumes very little power, typically around 10-15mA when active, making it suitable for battery-powered projects like small robots.
Q: Can I adjust the distance at which the sensor detects light?
A: The detection range depends on the ambient light intensity and the angle of the light source. You can adjust the sensitivity threshold using the blue potentiometer on the board to fine-tune when the output switches.
