Essential for motor monitoring
I use this to monitor current draw on my DC motors. The bidirectional feature is great for regenerative braking setups. No drift issues observed so far.

Perfect for Arduino battery projects
This module works flawlessly with my Arduino Uno. The library support is excellent, and reading both voltage and current simultaneously is very smooth. Great value for the price.

Reliable for solar charge controller
Integrated this into a DIY solar charge controller. It handles the 12V system perfectly and the I2C communication is stable even with long wires.

Good accuracy, easy to wire
Setup was straightforward using the standard Adafruit library. The readings are consistent with my multimeter. Only giving 4 stars because the solder pads are a bit small for beginners.
Q: Does this come with a shunt resistor pre-installed?
A: Yes, a 0.1 Ohm, 1% tolerance shunt resistor is already soldered onto the board, ready for use up to approximately 3.2A.
Q: What is the maximum voltage this can handle?
A: The module can measure bus voltages up to 26V. Please ensure your circuit does not exceed this limit to avoid damage.
Q: Can this module measure negative current?
A: Yes, the INA219B supports bidirectional current measurement, allowing it to detect both charging and discharging currents.
Q: How do I change the I2C address?
A: There are solder jumpers on the back of the PCB labeled A0 and A1. By bridging these with solder, you can select one of four unique addresses.
Q: Is a library available for ESP32?
A: Yes, popular libraries like Adafruit_INA219 are compatible with ESP32 and can be installed via the Arduino Library Manager.
